If you plan on wearing one during the day, consider a ultra thin custom fit mouthguard. A mouthguard custom fitted to the user’s teeth is the most protective and comfortable option. I recently got a night guard because my dentist recommended it for the TMJ pain I've been having for years. I know I clench a lot during the day and night, I bite my nails and I feel my face muscles in tension all day.
